Mission statement

At Seeds to Roots, we are committed to fostering transformative change in education by equipping education leaders, founders, superintendents, teachers, and policymakers with innovative frameworks and practices. Through collaborative training programs, we empower communities to implement equitable and liberatory practices that uplift historically underserved students.

VISION STATEMENT

Our long-term vision at Seeds to Roots is to revolutionize education, creating a landscape that is inherently equitable, liberatory, and empowering for all students, particularly those from historically marginalized communities. We envision a future where every educational institution embraces these principles and practices, nurturing environments where every student thrives academically, socially, and emotionally.

TRAINING METHODOLOGY

At Seeds to Roots, we believe in the power of diverse and engaging methodologies to facilitate transformative learning experiences. Our training programs incorporate a variety of approaches to cater to the diverse needs and preferences of educators, leaders, and policymakers. We utilize interactive activities, harnessing the energy and creativity of participants to deepen understanding and spark meaningful discussions. Through the arts, including visual arts and crafts, participants explore complex concepts and express their insights in unique and creative ways. Our use of artistic creativity with adults not only enhances learning but also fosters a sense of joy and collaboration in the training process. In addition, we draw inspiration from theater of the oppressed techniques, empowering participants to critically examine power dynamics and explore alternative perspectives. Short lecture-based sessions provide essential context and foundational knowledge, while discussion activities encourage reflection, dialogue, and peer learning. Our approach is centered on making training sessions interesting and engaging, modeling the dynamic and student-centered practices that we advocate for in educational settings. By embracing a variety of methodologies, we ensure that our training experiences are inclusive, accessible, and impactful for all participants.
